Www.catsinthebag.org for great tips for finding lost cats. No time to waste. Put items that smell of home outside to lure the cat home. (ie. Blanket, dirty laundry, cat toys etc.) Put up lots of posters too and get outside with a flashlight late late at night and look under bushes and porches. Good luck!

The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter with a heat source - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.

Shared. Note that TWO days is long time to a cat, this is MICH< MUCH longer. IF you have NOT done all these things do them ASAP. If you have go further in your search. Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Also notify nearby vet offices, rescues, shelters (e.g. SPCA/Humane Society) and the microchip company if he's chipped. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. Cats usually stay close to the door they left for a day or two before searching for food but remember that cats are nocturnal and HIDE daytime especially when scared or injured. IN CASE he may still be nearby check all nearby dark, shaded areas under bushes, shrubs and trees and places where he can shelter from wind, cold/heat and rain especially if he's hurt or injured. Check under decks, in window wells and dark corners of nearby porches, yards, garages, sheds and stairwells where he could be hiding or might be trapped. Ask nearby (5+ radius) neighbours to do the same and to check their porches, garages and yards where he could hide or may be trapped. See Pawboost for more suggestions and sample posters. Post notices in a 5-10 block radius, include outbuildings and construction sites. Put a notice in nearby (within a 5-10 block area of your property) neighbours' mailboxes. Post on FB lost and found dogs and cats site and on community and local store notice boards. Go out AFTER dark and bring food and treats. Walk around a 5+ block area, stop periodically, semi hide and put the food beside you not in your hand and softly call. Listen carefully but do NOT make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owners as safe.
