STILL MISSING - SINCE 5/9/24 IMPORTANT IDENTIFIERS: -Helmet shaped s vs flat -Very light tan s vs black or dark -No visible tail vs long tail -Possibly looks too heavy to pickup Heidi has a helmet shaped s of tan color. She is backpack sized and about 60lbs. She has a very small, stubby tail. PLEASE DO NOT INTERACT WITH SNAPPING TURTLES. They are dangerous, large with flat green/black ss and long tails. Looking for a sulcata tortoise (African spurred tortoise) that escaped its enclosure in Hardin valley/ karns area (by Ben Atchleys retirement home). If seen please let us know, even if she’s on the move so we can come search. She’s quite large so she would be pretty obviously not local wildlife. UPDATE: last seen off karns valley road by the cow field. Update: the differences between a tortoise and a turtle are pretty big. Added an image to show the difference. Chonky feet is important. And she’s about a foot tall, very round and not flat. She does not go in water, she likes fields and grass.
