Is 'Dog' an indoor only or indoor/outdoor cat?
Where was he last time anyone saw him ... inside or outside? s
Have you notified neighbors with pics of him on fliers delivered to them?
Did you ask that they check any outbuildings to see if he might be hiding in them?
Have YOU checked *EVERYWHERE* for him, including underneath chair & sofa cushions, and within box-spring mattresses (often entering from underneath), inside drawers, closets, & cupboards both high & low, and even more unlikely ... & unthinkable places ... he supposedly could not get to???
The cats I now have (indoor/outdoor) often seek to have a private nap on the top shelf in the back of the broom closet, or, in the cupboard over the back of the fridge ... for instance. . . .
I certainly hope 'Dog' is found ... SAFE and SOUND ... and ... SOON!!!
WHEN cats get spooked or become ill, they feel extremely vulnerable, & seek safe spots away from everyone . . . so put your thinking cap on & use it . . .
My first cat, 'Fido', used to go into my lower cabinet at my sink when the drawer above it was pulled out, climb up into the drawer from the back of that cabinet, & get stuck when if forgot to check & get her out before closing it. . . .
She also liked to hang out in the alcove right above our front door . . . I never saw her going into our out of that spot, but she had to go around the edge of the roof over thin air in order to manage it. . . .
She must have become ill (tho still looked & seemed well) & she disappeared for a long time. I called & looked everywhere I could think of for her, but, it never dawned on me she might be sick & in hiding! She never came or answered. . . . My Mom eventually found her while pulling weeds from under a medium sized boulder, between our residences. . . . ):
So DO look EVERYWHERE!
('Dog' is an interesting name choice for a cat. . . . I had requested a dog before my Mom eventually allowed me to have a kitten, plus she was polydactyl with extra long back legs, but, 'Dog' was just too obvious. . . . Mom called her 'PieDough' instead . . .& I must admit . . . that was her coloring. . . . LOL) :
So DO look EVERYWHERE!
