A cat in such bad shape needs a better forever home.

Thank you for helping this cat. And thank you for bringing them inside. Put posters up in a four block area including the people behind you with a complete description of where and when the cat was found. If someone claims his cat they need to prove it’s their cat by showing you a photo in their phone or a vet bill. People can be awful you don’t want to know. Drive around your neighborhood and see if you can find posters that have been put up by his owners. If you bring him to any Petco Petsmart or Vet they can scan for a microchip, but be advised even if he has a microchip some people forget to register it and many people when they move just dump their cats as awful as that is it happens all the time. Put posters up at local pet food stores and at local vets. If you are unable to secure an owner please do not take to the shelter they will euthanize that cat. Reach out to large rescues like kitten rescue and cats in the studio that can foster the cat and assist you in helping them find a forever home if you are unable to keep the cat yourself. Thank you for stepping up and helping this one I hope you were able to find his family I’m sure if they didn’t dump him they are missing him
