She needs to go back to that home in the middle of the night, sit down with some canned food & start talking to him & hope he responds to her. She should have a carrier next to her, open, so if he comes to her, she can secure him. He’s most likely to respond to her in the middle of the night when it’s dark & quiet. If he doesn’t respond to her voice, then she should have a flashlight & start looking under things around that house where a cat could crawl into or under. Indoor cats are usually hiding within 160 ft of the home. If he’s indoor only, he likely will not approach strangers or be outside walking around. He’s terrified being out of his element.
