Creating a dog scent station from a rescue who helps reunite pets. Take an unwashed article of THE OWNERS clothing.( Socks , Sheet, Underware , ) & hang it in a tree on your property . The wind will carry the scent. If there is another dog in the home take that dogs fresh poop and rub it in the tree. Open your gates. Your garage door , turn on all your lights. Put dog's bed on porch with a bowl of water.A dog can find its way back from miles by following a scent. They don't operate like humans on sight or sound.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Get your scent out in front of your house - use dirty laundry to do this. Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the signs. Post signs all over as if someone spots your dog and there is no ID on him/her the person can contact you (for those not on Social Media). Ask your neighbors to check their Ring Camera (if applicable). Call the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing in case someone is calling with a matching description. Prayers that your dog is found.
