MESSAGE FROM OWNER

I am feeling so guilty, my perfect little girl escaped this morning when I was letting my dogs out before work and I didn’t notice. She sometimes runs out the door onto the patio but always comes back in. She is about 7 months old and my best friend. I was so shocked when I got and she didn’t greet me, please help my find my little girl. She is so friendly and sweet, she will come if you shake food and call her name. I’m missing her so much already.

DESCRIPTION

Very sweet tortoises cat. She has a black collar on, no tag it broke off and I didn’t have a chance to fix it, she got out without my knowledge at about 4:30 am

Hang some worn clothing outside near the ground or a blanket with your scent. Put its dirty litter box outside, out of the weather. They hold odors for 14+days and cats can pick up scents from very far away. Some say the boxes attract predators. If so, take it back inside. (Use your own discretion.) Go out often in the daytime calling its name. Use your normal tone of voice. (Your cat probably won't come to you, but the familiar sound of your voice may keep it close by.) Indoor cats usually won't go far away. Go outside at night with a flashlight. Shine it under bushes, cars, decks, in trees, etc, looking for the cat's eyes reflecting in the light. If possible, leave a window open with smelly food inside the windowsill. Make a LOST CAT sign and put it in front of your home. (Cardboard and magic marker works in a pinch, though the neon-colored poster board catches more eyes.) Hang fliers in the area. Put them in plastic page protectors with the bottoms taped shut to protect from any rains. Give one to your mail carrier. If chipped, call the microchip company to make sure your contact info is correct. Physically go to your local shelter(s) at least twice a week. Remember to check your message requests in messenger too because not everyone will or can reply to this post.
