MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Injured/lost/missing, my 1year old baby girl kitty named Sable (Sabellina) from a 3rd floor window fall of an apmt located at Beresford & Bloor Street West in Toronto on Monday evening of June 24th, 2024. I am grateful to the members and organization’s assistance in finding my baby kitty girl, Sable (Sabellina) and bringing her , ❤️, thank you, from her Mum, Rose.

DESCRIPTION

Brown Tabby with black mackerel pattern, black ears, black paws, soft grey/brown/soft orange mixed fur striping/layering throughout coat of fur with specs/highlights of white, black rings on tail, light green/yellow eyes, intact claws/nails plus non-spayed, 1 year old female, not microchipped, and no collar. Also knows her name as Sabellina in addition to her main name of Sable. She may have dried blood on her face/head due to possible injuries from a 3rd floor fall to paved apmt parking below. A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as www.catsinthebag.org Get signs up and file a lost report with Toronto Animal Services and local shelters (and keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip info is up to date with the company too. Post on Neighbourhood groups, and be sure to also do a post on the fb group Toronto Lost and Found Cats

Shared. TWO days is a long time to a cat,. THIS is longer. IF you have NOT YET done all these things do them ASAP Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Also notify nearby vet offices, rescues, shelters (e.g. SPCA/Humane Society) and the microchip company if she's chipped. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot her searching for food. Remember that cats are active at dawn and dusk and sleep during the day. In case she may still come around or be nearby carefully check all dark, shaded areas under bushes, shrubs and trees and places where she can shelter from wind, cold/heat and rain. Check under decks, in window wells and dark corners of nearby porches, yards, garages, sheds and stairwells where she could be hiding or might be trapped. Ask nearby (5-10 block radius) neighbours to do the same and to check their porches, garages and yards where she could hide or may be trapped. See Pawboost and check their website for found cats. See Pawboost for more suggestions to search and find and for sample posters. Post notices in a 5-10 block radius, include outbuildings and construction sites. Put a notice in nearby (5-10 block area) neighbours' mailboxes. Post on FB lost and found dogs and cats site and on community and local store notice boards. Go out AFTER dark and bring food and treats. Walk around a 5-10 block area, stop periodically, semi hide and put the food beside you not in your hand and softly call. Listen carefully but do NOT make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owners as safe.

Www.catsinthebag.org for great tips for finding lost cats. No time to waste. Put items that smell of home outside to lure the cat home. (ie. Blanket, dirty laundry, cat toys etc.) Put up lots of posters too and get outside with a flashlight late late at night and look under bushes and porches. Good luck!
